Free Bus Trips
There are free bus trips which can be arranged at Playa Flamenca Market on a Saturday. Many trips include a blanket tour and run to Bendiorm, these stands are located at the entrance of the Market.
Train
Costa Blanca Express (Alicante to Denia)
Children and adults alike will enjoy a ride on this narrow-gauge train which ambles up the coast from Alicante to Denia, the ride takes about two hours
stopping at several villages en route, so there is plenty of time to have a relaxing swim and lunch before heading home.

Water Parks
Torrevieja Aquopolis Water park (about 5 miles)
Open from the 3rd of June
A large waterpark with pools, hydrotubs and plenty of slides and rides for everyone, including a minipark especially for children where some of the most popular rides have been scaled down so they don't miss out!
There are places to eat and picnic areas.

Benidorm Aqualandia Verano Water Park (about 75 miles)
Open from end of May to beginning of October
Although this waterpark is further away, it is one of the largest in the world and one of the first to be built in Spain and well worth a visit, Benidorm is one of the stops for the Costa Blanca Express (see above). There are several self-service restaurants including a snack bar, barbecue, pizzeria, burger restaurant, various kiosks, ice-cream parlours and coffee shops.
The park features a variety of pools, slides and children’s games. With their great range of water rides, splash pools and other attractions there’s something for everyone to have a fun day out.

Animal Parks
MundoMar Marine Park Benidorm
Open from 27th February 2011
Mundomar is located next to the Aqualandia water park in Benidorm. There are shows with
dolphins, sea lions and parrots and a variety of activities such as feeding the sea lions, lemurs and penguins.
There are many other animals to see and a wide range of catering facilities.

Safari Aitana (about 82 miles)
A safari park in the Aitana Sierra with all the usual collection of lions, giraffes, elephants and other animals, it’s a good choice in hot weather, as you can have a swim in the pool.

Boat Trips
Benidorm Boat Trips to Isla Benidorm, Calpe and Tabarca
Boats run all year round
The boat trip to Isla de Benidorm, which is a nature reserve, is by a glass bottom boat The port of Calpe takes an hour to reach and there is a special semi-submarine boat which gives you a chance to see the world underwater without getting wet, tickets can be bought at the Marina (Harbour).
La Manga (about 40 miles
La Manga is a harbour town where you can get a boat to the islands of Mar Menor or charter one to the Balearics.

Theme Parks
Terra Mitica Theme Park, Benidorm
Open from April 2011 (but not every day until May)
This is a theme park based onthe World of Myths which opened in the Summer of 2000 near. Visitors can enjoy rides, shows, and theatre events in five areas based on past Mediterranean civilisations – Egypt, Greece, Rome, Iberia, and the islands.
Amoung the rides are a log flume and the largest wooden roller coaster in Europe, the second largest in the world. Some of the major rides are replicated in miniature for the smaller children. Each area has themed shops.

Festilandia Park, Benidorm
Festilandia is a permanant fairground for small children, located right in the heart of Benidorm.

Karting Orihuela (Orihuela Go Karting about 2 miles )
A chance for older children to test their skill and nerves on one of three karting tracks.

Museums
Guadalest Town (About 88 miles)
Open most days of the year
It takes about 1hr 45 mins to reach the town but there is a lot to see including eight different museums/collections (doll and car museum are just two) there is also a reservoir and castle. The area has a rich history and is
well worth a visit.

Valencian Toy Museum, Ibi (about 70 miles)
Is closed at the moment but will open soon
A toy museum with an enormous collection from all over the world, most people will get nostalgic over the comic collection and there’s a good reproduction of the 1929 school classroom.
